Romeo, Romeo, where art thou? Are you looking for a nice Italian spot to eat close to home in West Hempstead? The food is delicious and the friendly attentive service was excellent. We started with crispy Mozzarella sticks and Antipasto salad. Ample and satisfying! They also served wonderful garlic bread. Our entrees of Grilled Salmon Oreganata were served with a garden of sauteed vegetables. Just scrumptious! And their Veal Bruschetta was topped with fresh Arugula, Diced Tomatoes, and Chopped Red Onions Mixed with Balsamic Dressing. It was refreshing and filling. We had no room for their decadent dessert menu but did take home a doggie bag!

This place is the real deal. I was hesitant to make a review because I don’t want anyone else to know about this place! Cash only and hours can be unusual, so if you're not sure then definitely call. BYOB no corkage fee. Romeo's food is authentic, delicious, and extremely well priced. I recommend getting dinner platters over the pizza, the sauce is INCREDIBLE. Some of their pasta is even homemade and of course they will make any alteration to any dish you want. The people here are super kind and friendly which just makes it a 10/10.

First and foremost, the cleanliness of the restaurant stands out. As echoed by customers like Sthella P., the inviting space combined with exemplary service sets the stage for an enjoyable dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the warmth of the staff greets you, instantly putting you in a relaxed mood.

Sheldon Georges waxes poetic about finishing a 16-inch pie with his brother, hailing the crust for its exquisite flavor. It’s not just the pizza that shines here; the connection between staff and patrons is palpable, with the owner even cracking jokes to enhance the hospitable vibe. This is a place where laughter and satisfaction go hand in hand.

Moreover, the variety of dishes offered is remarkable. Jacqueline Vita praises the crispy mozzarella sticks and the antipasto salad as an excellent way to start your meal. Their garlic bread deserves a mention too, laying the groundwork for entrees that leave a lasting impression. The grilled salmon oreganata is described as "scrumptious," served with a colorful array of sautéed vegetables that not only please the palate but also the eyes.

Don’t overlook the veal bruschetta, topped with fresh arugula and a balsamic dressing that adds a refreshing note to the dish. The attention to detail and flavor combinations exemplify the passion that goes into each plate. Although Donald Hnis believes it boasts the best pizza on Long Island, the menu here extends far beyond pizza alone—it’s a culinary exploration that delights the senses.

And let's not forget the desserts! As Jacqueline noted, there's often a doggie bag to take home, which speaks to the generous portions and the sheer indulgence of the menu offerings.
